SEA PICTURES
Samling Academy makes a welcome return to Saltburn Arts for a semi-staged concert of words and music inspired by the sea. Telling stories of sailors and the girls they’ve left behind, of fishermen and mermaids and with some traditional seaside fun thrown in, this programme is performed by a cast of the North East’s finest young classical singers.
The concert is directed by Samling Artists Miranda Wright and pianist Jo Ramadan. Samling Academy is an intensive vocal training programme for singers aged 14 – 21 who live or study in North East England and many of its former participants have gone on to professional singing careers.
