Seaside Folk with The Rheingans Sisters

Friday 21st September @ 8pm

These sisters, who grew up in the picturesque Peak District, have chosen not to bound by the folk tradition but their music is certainly anchored there. Winners of the 2016 BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for best original track (won by Mackeral), they are well established on the folk music scene – Rowan is well known for her work with Lady Maisery and Anna is a fiddle player with Toulouse. Their second, award-winning album Already Home is enticing, thoughtful and adventurous and quickly caused a stir when it was released in 2015.

Amongst a flurry of fantastic revies, The Independant called Already Home ‘superb’
