Pilgrims’ Way – Off the wall, colourful, energetic…
Pilgrims’ Way present a themed show packed full of highwaymen, robbers, and brigands, their stories told through traditional English folk song and 1980s disco. With a full folk-rock five piece line up, this is a mighty show fit for any stage!
With influences starting in early music, passing through Playford and the Morris traditions, picking up prog, soul and pop, it’s impossible to categorise the sound they make as folk music is fed through their unique steam driven sound-mincing engine.
Featuring Edwin Beasant on drums, Jude Rees on assorted woodwind, Jon Loomes on concertina and guitar, Tom Kitching on fiddle, and Heather Sirrel on bass, this is a full frontal and good humoured party of song and dance. With sumptuous harmonies, huge rhythms, and fabulous melodies, the show is a non-stop party of wild characters and inflated stories from across English history.
Pilgrims’ Way will be playing the entirety of their acclaimed new album ‘Stand and Deliver’ and much more during the course of a riotous evening’s fun.
